With the new iPad (9th generation), Apple has given it an A13 Bionic chip that adds even more performance and capability to the most popular iPad. It’s price at $329 and includes a 10.2-inch Retina display with True Tone, a 12MP Ultra Wide front camera, Smart Keyboard, support for Apple Pencil (1st generation), and twice the storage of the previous model.

You can order the new iPad on apple.com beginning today, and it will be available in stores starting on Friday, September 24th.

“Our most popular iPad has never been more essential for working, learning, and communicating, and we’re excited to bring one of the biggest updates ever to the device,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing.

A13 Bionic with Neural Engine Boosts iPad Performance
Users will be able to run advanced apps and games on the most affordable iPad. Next-level machine learning capabilities are also enabled by the Neural Engine in A13 Bionic, including Live Text, a new feature in iPadOS 15 that allows users to recognize text in a photo and take action on it.

Centre Stage 12MP Ultra Wide Front Camera
iPad users can now enjoy the Center Stage experience on iPad Pro with a new 12MP Ultra Wide front camera and Neural Engine for even more engaging video calls. In FaceTime as well as third-party apps for video calling, Center Stage automatically pans the camera to keep users in view as they move around.

When others join in, the camera recognizes them as well, and smoothly zooms out to include them in the conversation. Center Stage makes the experience of connecting more engaging than ever, whether it is connecting virtually with loved ones or learning remotely via an iPad.

True Tone On The 10.2-inch Retina Display
A new, enhanced ambient light sensor enables True Tone on the new iPad’s gorgeous 10.2-inch Retina display. True Tone allows images to appear more natural and provides users with a more comfortable viewing experience in all lighting conditions.

Double The Storage On The Go
iPad’s thin and light design, integrated cellular technology, and 64GB of storage offer users even more flexibility in storing apps, games, and media. Additionally, a 256GB option is available for users looking to store more apps, games, photos, and videos.

Experience iPadOS 15 On An Even More Intuitive Level
With iOS 15, taking advantage of the iPad’s unique capabilities, you can be more productive and use it to your full potential:

* Multitasking is easier than ever to use, and features like Split View and Slide Over become more intuitive.

* There are new widget layouts for the Home Screen and App Library that offer simple options for organizing apps and personalizing the iPad experience.

* Whether typing or writing with Apple Pencil, Notes goes systemwide with Quick Note and offers new collaboration and organization features.

* New features include a face-to-face view and Auto Translate, making communication easier on the iPad.

* With Live Text, users can detect text in a photo and take action. For example, a picture of a storefront might reveal a phone number and offer the option to call.

* Users can filter notifications in Focus based on what they’re doing, whether they’re working, reading, exercising, playing games, or sleeping.

* Group FaceTime now displays participants in the form of grid tiles in a new grid view for spaced audio and Portrait mode. And the new grid view makes FaceTime calls feel more natural with
spatial audio and Portrait mode.
