Whoever said that all good quality headphones are expensive, obviously hasn’t heard of the Bluedio TM Wireless cans. Usually, at this end of the market, the space is littered with substandard and underwhelming offerings. Words can’t begin to describe how awful some of these products are. And the Bluetooth ones are exponentially worse.

Bluedio says that the TM Wireless headphones make use of a technology called Vector Flow Booster Control that works with the large drivers to produce clearer audio details that are usually lost with low quality drivers. They are encased in pretty soft padded foam cushions that sit comfortably on the ears. Padded material line the frame as well.

The Looks

The design could use some improvement though. Unlike the expensive offerings from more reputable manufacturers, the fit isn’t that great. And as such, those with larger ears will notice a certain level of discomfort during extended music listening sessions. As such, I wouldn’t recommend them for any type of sports activity.

These cans should hold up well over time due in part to the aluminum alloy frame. It seems to have a decent amount of torsional stiffness to prevent breakage. Yet is flexible enough to accommodate the rigours associated with an active lifestyle. The entire thing is made from hard plastics, so, manhandling it every now and then, won’t do it much harm.

It charges via USB-C, and takes a little more than 2 hours to fully charge. But, on the plus side, on a full battery, you can expect about 30 hours of music playback. That’s extremely good considering that most other headphones at this price point, offer about 6 hours of battery life. And the headphones also supports baidu and Amazon cloud services.

The Performance

Bluedio has been responsible for dome absolute stinkers, but this excludes the TM Wireless. These headphones are equipped with 57mm drivers, which are capable of producing crisp and clear mids and lows. The clarity at these ranges are impressive to say the least. Every instrument played on a track is easily distinguishable.

But things get a bit muddled towards the highs, the distortion is pretty bad. And as such, it isn’t suited to loud and bass heavy music. This is surprising considering how large the drivers are. Admittedly, you can’t expect the world from a pair of headphones this cheap. But, if it could do just a little more, that would have put it in the same league as the heavy hitters.

So, pumping out heart-thumping bass isn’t its forte. Adn as such, it is competent for instrumental and vocals, not for hip hop or R&B. This is something that you need to be aware of when choosing this pair of headphones over its competition. It excels at somethings but fails miserably at others.

Should I Buy One?

That solely depends on the kind of music you are into. If you have a liking for slow jazz, instrumental or music that has a moderate amount of bass, then these Bluedio cans are an excellent choice for the price. It excels at reproducing music that demands good clarity, but trips over itself for bass heavy genres.
