The BWT Alpine F1 Team has revealed its new car and livery for the upcoming 2023 FIA Formula 1 World Championship. The A523 is supposed to be a significant evolution over last year’s A522.

According to the team, the car has seen radical development over the winter months at the hands of both the design and technical teams bases in Enstone, United Kingdom and Viry-Châtillon, France.

This year’s livery combines the colors of the Alpine blue flanked on both sides by the pink of the team’s title partner, BWT. However, the team will be using a full pink livery for the first three grand prix races that will take part in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Australia, respectively.

Renault Group CEO Luca de Meo and Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi’s presence at the event were to unveil the A523 as well as reaffirm the relevancy of Alpine’s presence in the sport. This falls in line with the Renault Group’s Renaulution framework.

Laurent Rossi, CEO of Alpine, said, “It’s always a feeling of immense pride when we officially unveil our car for the upcoming season. Ultimately, we at Alpine are driven by a natural desire to race and that is etched in the company’s heritage and will remain at the heart of our motorsport projects for many years to come.”

The team has been steadily working its way up the rankings by finishing fifth in 2021 and fourth in last year’s season. For 2023, Alpine has set a target of climbing towards the front of the grid within tits 100-race plan.

BWT Alpine F1 Team’s driver line-up consists of Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly, with the latter announced as the team’s driver as late as last October. The duo grew up in Normandy and first met as aspiring racing drivers at just 9 years of age.

Jack Doohan will be the team’s reserve driver for the 2023 season, which he will manage along his racing dues in the FIA Formula 2 championship. The team will be busy at the upcoming pre-season test in Bahrain before heading off for the first official race of the season in Sakhir, which will take place on March 5th.
