Dell To Release PCs With Windows 11 As of Oct. 5th
September 4, 2021The Windows 11 release date has been set for October 5th, and Dell is gearing up to release its latest machines with the new operating system. According to the company, most PCs sold by Dell.com will come pre-installed with Windows 11 as of October 5.
Customers who purchase a PC with Windows 10 Pro also get a preinstalled version of Windows 11 Pro with the option to upgrade when the time comes. Can’t Dell will offer free upgrades to Windows 11 to customers who purchase eligible PCs on Dell.com now. There are also the Dell XPS 13, Alienware x15 and Alienware x17 gaming laptops.
The company also has a few tools to guide consumers and business customers through the free upgrade process if they already own a Windows-based Dell PC. Microsoft will make Windows 11 available to the public via a Windows Update. Timeline of availability
All eligible Dell PCs running the equivalent Windows 10 version will be offered an upgrade to Windows 11 on a rolling basis. Timing will vary depending on the device.

Consumers can check the Dell upgrade eligibility database to see if their device can be upgraded to Windows 11 once, Windows 11 is available, you can find out if your device is ready to upgrade in Settings/Windows Update.
