Get Ready For M51, And Its 7,000mAh Battery!
August 28, 2020September is going to be another busy month for Samsung. Prior to this, the company launched 5 different devices during a single launch event at the beginning of this month, which included the Note20 Series, Watch3 and Buds Live. On September 1st, the Korean company is poised to release the Galaxy Z Flip 2, then in the following days, release the Galaxy M51.
It’s a mid-range phone packed with features that are simply unreal. The device was outed by the Google Play Store Console and confirmed on Amazon’s product page. Based on what the media outlet mysmartprice.com reported, the phone should have a Snapdragon 730, 8GB RAM and a colossal 7,000mAh battery. That is 1,000mAh more than the already massive battery in the Galaxy M31 that we reviewed.

The device should also have a 1080 x 2400 pixel Super AMOLED display with a hole punch in its panel to accommodate the selfie camera. Similar in appearance to the A51, rumors suggest that it may carry over the M31’s quad camera with its main 64MP sensor, or an updated derivation of it. Built in India, the M51 is targeted at budget conscious buyers.
If the M51 happens to offer a similar experience to that of the M31, it should offer provide good value for money. But in our opinion, a 7,000mAh battery seems a little excessive, since the M31’s 6,000mAh unit is already able to offer 2 days worth of juice. Why anyone would need such a larger battery than that, is beyond us. But there is also talk of it having a 25W fast charger to help with ‘top-up’ speeds.
