Google ‘s New Search Doodle Feels Like An Actual Game

Google has created an interesting doodle game that anyone can play on its Search homepage. Launched in conjunction with the Paralympic games, the new arcade-style RPG joins a whole host of similar doodles to help cure your boredom. Called the Doodle Champion Island Games, your job is to guide Calico athlete Lucky as she makes her way past various challenges.

The game comprises seven sport mini-games, tough opponents and side quests. The objective of the game is to defeat the champion of each sport competition and collect all seven sacred scrolls. The activities include table tennis, archery, rugby, swimming, climbing and various others. There are also extra hidden challenges across the island to be explored.

At the start, you are requested to choose a team mascot. The options are Team Blue (Ushi), Team Red (Karasu), Team Yellow (Inari), Team Green (Kappa). The depth of the quests, sports activities and challenges of Doodle Champion Island make it a formidable game to master. I’ve never been fond of Google’s doodles, but this game is the exception.

Google designed and built this interactive doodle in partnership with Tokyo-based animation studio, STUDIO 4°C. Take a look at the behind-the-scenes footage for more information on how the game was conceived and built.

Compared with other doodles, it will take you significantly longer to complete all the challenges in Doogle Champion Island. Unlike the football/soccer one released in conjunction with the 2018 FIFA World Cup, this game will fill your lunch break with rewarding gameplay that will either bring out the best or worst in you.
