It’s no surprise that Apple’s latest Mac Pro is far superior to its trash can resembling predecessor. Unlike the 2013 model, Cupertino’s most powerful computer ever, has been designed from the ground up to be a modular machine.

This means that unlike most Apple products, the new Mac Pro is designed to be user serviceable/replaceable, perfect for professional creators. Most of the company’s other products are assembled with adhesives and brittle enclosures that break the moment they are pried open.

But the new Mac Pro, breaks from that tradition. The case can be opened with relative ease, allowing access to the computer’s internal components. Users have the option to swap out components down the line, with the exception of the SSD, which features a T2 security chip.

iFixit, the resident disassembly YouTube guru, showcases how easy it can be to take apart the new Mac Pro, including the socketed Intel Xeon processor. Take a look and let us know what you think of this machine.

Apple provides several configuration options for this machine ranging from a basic setup to one that features all the bells and whistles at Cupertino’s disposal. When fitted with the highest-end hardware available, expect to to pay upwards of $53K for the latest and greatest Mac Pro. Check out this article for more information.
