Instagram Web Now Includes Publishing Functionality
October 24, 2021 Off By Naveen VictorInstagram has finally updated its web based application to support publishing posts from actual computers. Though this might not seem like a big deal to most people because the social media platform’s demographic uses smartphones, but it actually makes a big difference.
Being able to manually add clips, pictures or text on a computer screens gives users better control over what they do. It happens to be a godsend for businesses and news outlets that need to add a string of sentences as context for a photo or video.
Instagram web works just like the app on a smartphone. The UI looks the same and allows access to viewing, editing and posting content as usual. However performance isn’t as good. There are glitches and bugs that seem to bog down the creation of each post. Sometimes, the loading screen will keep looping infinitely even after an entry has been posted successfully.
To experience Instagram at its best, use the app meant for smartphones. It’s more reliable and filters are overlaid onto pictures, reliably. The web version requires more work before it can match the functionality of its phone-based counterpart.
