Learn About Electronics The Entertaining Way!

Mastering the basics of electronic circuitry can be extremely challenging. It becomes exponentially harder when you have limited resources from where said knowledge can be acquired. Thankfully, there’s YouTube, but more specifically, a channel on it called ElectroBOOM.

Like the name suggests, the channel publishes videos on electronics with the premise that they go BOOM at some point. At least that’s how its presenter, Mehdi Sadaghdar prefaces most of his topics of discussion. See, the appeal of ElectroBOOM compared to other channels of its ilk, is that the information is conveyed in a jovial and entertaining manner.

Similar to Tim Taylor’s goofy antics on the hit TV show from the 1990s Home Improvement, Medhi intentionally shunts circuits, starts fires, burns or electrocutes himself. This isn’t done just to entertain the audience but to remind us of how dangerous it can be to mess with electrical equipment and components without adequate understanding on the matter.

There are hours upon hours of such videos on ElectroBOOM, begging to be played, each one being more entertaining than the previously watched ones. It is through these ‘controlled’ mishaps that Medhi is able to effectively convey the important information to his legions of followers.

Also, it is this type of teaching method that helps lower the veil that usually prevents school or college students from getting a good grasp on their subject matter. Medhi’s simplified teaching techniques on the fundamentals of electronics is extremely easy to absorb. So, if you are having a tough time with electronics in general, ElectroBOOM might be able to help.
