LEGO fans have a reason to be excited. The company has released a set based on the famous kids TV show, Sesame Street. It’s part of the company’s Ideas collection, which offers fans the opportunity to submit their own brick creations with the chance of having it turned into an actual product.

A LEGO enthusiast named Ivan Guerrero is responsible for this nostalgic creation. Modeled after 123 Sesame Street, the detailed set brings back fond memories to those of us who enjoyed the educational kids show. All major characters from the show are present and accounted for including Big Bird, Elmo, Bert and Ernie, Cookie Monster and Oscar the Grouch.

Speaking of his creation, Guerrero said, “As a long-time fan of the LEGO Group and Sesame Street, it has been a dream come true to be able to merge my two passions into a memorable set for fellow builders to enjoy.”

The brick set accurately depicts the 123 Sesame Street layout including Bert and Ernie’s apartment, Big Bird’s nest, Oscar the Grouch’s trash can and Hooper’s store. It should prove to be both challenging and entertaining to put the blocks together. Once built, the 1,367-piece set measures 9” (24cm) high, 13.5” (35cm) wide and 8.2” (21cm) deep.

The Lego Ideas collection not only allow designers to bring their creations to the platform, but also allows them a share in the profits made from their sale. It’s a chance for master designers to show what they’re capable of, and be rewarded for their work. 123 Sesame Street joins several other fan work including the Lego Ideas Friends Central Perk.
