Samsung understands this and has published an interesting video of encompassing unique tune of monochords that are powered by mother nature.

It’s called the “Over the Horizon” remix, which is the acoustic version of the original. The company accomplished this feat by installing monochords in various natural locations. And by harnessing the power of nature, it was able to produce a harmonious concerto, backed by the soothing tune of the great outdoors.

The calming effect that accompanies it, fills you with a certain joie de vivre. But it’s actually quite fascinating to see how the natural force of running water, able the monochords to work with the help of a rotor-and pulley mechanism. As this mechanism rotates, it triggers the monochords to pluck their respective strings, and this is what creates the melodious music in video.

What elevates the effect even further is Samsung’s choice in background music, which includes running water and chirping birds. They kept the use of electronic elements to a minimum, to allow listeners to connect with the relaxing sounds that only nature can offer us.
