Microsoft has announced that it will add another 50+ games, over the current 25, to its cloud streaming service. The titles include Madden NFL 20 and Devil May Cry 5. A direct rival to Stadia, xCloud’s purpose is to extend the functionality of the Xbox platform. The service will be launched next year for Windows 10 PCs but there are plans to include other devices in the near future.

In addition to this, Microsoft will also include support for multiple controllers, including Sony’s DualShock 4 wireless controller and game pads from Razer. Users of the xCloud platform will be able to play games that they have purchased, on any device, which include tablets or smartphones. Currently, gaming experince is limited by user hardware, with xCloud, that will no longer be the case.

This cloud functionality will also be made available to those who have the Xbox Game Pass. This means that, in time, gamers will not be tethered to their gaming rigs to enjoy high-quality entertainment. The same high-fidelity gameplay can be enjoyed on any device and just about anywhere. The xCloud preview program was made available in September for a small number of fans.

Over the course of the next several months, Microsoft will open up more spots to accommodate the growing interest in its new platform. At the moment it’s only opened to participants in Korea, UK and US. But it will be offered in Canada, India, Japan and Western Europe soon.
