Monster Phones, M51 And M62 Are Back On Sale
March 26, 2021If you’re looking to purchase a new phone this month, then there’s no better time than during Lazada’s 9th Birthday Sale happening tomorrow, 27th March 2021. Both manufacturers and retailers alike have marked down the prices of several of their devices. But there are two phones in particular that should be on your radar, Samsung’s M51 and M62.
It’s surprising, because for the past several years, the Korean smartphone maker seemed to shadow Apple with regard to its smartphone evolution. But recently, that has changed and instead of asking what the customer can do without, Samsung has asked, “What would the customer want?”. And the result, are two phones launched several months apart that exemplify the words “customer satisfaction”.
The M51 was launched late last year, and it has been gaining fans ever since. It has a 6.7-inch super AMOLED Plus display, Snapdragon 730G chipset and 8GB RAM. But most importantly, it is powered by a monstrous 7,000mAh battery (supports 25W Fast Charging). This isn’t a phone but a powerbank with smartphone capabilities.
Equipped with a 64MP main camera (wide), 12MP (ultrawide), 5MP (macro) and 5MP depth sensor, it takes pretty decent pictures and videos. For the average consumer such as myself, this is an amazing phone to have. It ticks all the right boxes and serves as proof that you don’t need a flagship device to enjoy a great smartphone experience.
Samsung is selling the device at RM1,399 on 27/3/21. It’s an offer that’s difficult to ignore considering how much this phone has to give. It’s available in Celestial Black and Electric Blue, which lend the phone with a really clean look. The only phone that can upstage the M51 is its bigger brother the M62.
This phone builds upon the success of the M51 by offering improved hardware. Instead of the humble Snapdragon 730G it gets the Exynos 9825. This is the same hardware that powered the Galaxy S10 albeit slightly refreshed, which says a lot of its capabilities. It’s a smidgen heavier than the M51 but well worth the tradeoff.
Believe it or not, the M62 is back on sale on 27/03/21 for just RM1,599. It’s basically a steal for near flagship performance. As such, keep both phones in shortlist on Lazada’s 9th birthday sale.
