Nikon Introduces Prime Lens For Z Cameras

NIKKOR has introduced the NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8, a compact and lightweight prime lens for Nikon Z cameras. A wide-angle lens with a fast aperture, this lens is small enough to carry anywhere and suitable for capturing everyday shots, group portraits, landscapes, cityscapes, etc.

One of NIKKOR’s smallest and lightest prime lenses, this 1.7-inch (43 mm) lens weighs about 5.46 oz (155g). As a close-up lens, the NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 has a minimum focus distance of just 0.63 ft (0.19m), making it easy to take detailed photos and videos of food, DIY crafts, fashion, and more. Its compact size, affordability, and versatility make this lens attractive both to full-frame and DX users of the Nikon Z series mirrorless cameras.

Primary features of the NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8:

* With a length of approximately 42mm, this is the smallest and lightest NIKKOR Z prime lens to date. 1.7 inches (43mm) and weight of approx. 5.46 oz (155g).

* In addition to its fast f/2.8 maximum aperture, the camera’s low-light capabilities, even while hand-held, are exceptional due to its shallow depth of field.

* The focal length becomes 42mm on a DX-format camera, such as the Nikon Z fc or Nikon Z 50 (equivalent to a 35mm format).

* With a minimum focus distance of approximately 0.63 ft (0.19m), users can get close to their subjects to take dynamic photographs.

* Multi-focusing results in natural results across the entire shooting range, while fast and accurate autofocus is possible while maintaining a smaller body size. To give you greater
confidence when taking it anywhere, we designed it to be dust-resistant and drip-resistant.

* Aperture and exposure compensation are some of the functions that can be assigned to the control ring. This camera was developed with video recording in mind, offering extremely quiet
operation, effective focus-breathing compensation, and stable exposure.

* The NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 SE lens differs cosmetically from the previously announced NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 SE lens by featuring a black finish.
