Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro Series: What You Need To Know

Samsung has refreshed its thin-and-light laptop lineup with the introduction of the Galaxy Book2 series. This consists of the Book2 Pro, which is a conventional laptop and the Book2 Pro 360 – a 2-in-1 laptop that can be used as a large tablet. This is an evolutionary update instead of a revolutionary one. As such, there are minor tweaks made to certain aspects for better usability.

They also meet Microsoft’s secured-core PC requirements, which is hardware usually meant for
enterprise PCs in high-security industries such as finance, healthcare and government. The idea here is to give users an added layer of protection against potential cyber-attacks. Besides this, they have 5G and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.

Both benefit from Intel’s latest 12th gen chips and a choice of either having 8, 16 or 32GB of RAM. For storage you can have either 256, 512 or 1TB of space. They are available to purchase with 13.3 and 15.6-inch AMOLED screen sizes with better clarity than before.

That said, the following are the Book2 Pro’s noteworthy features:

  • 1080p FHD webcams with wider field of view angles
  • Studio Mode has been upgraded with new features including auto Framing, which keeps users perfectly centered within the frame.
  • New background effects and Face Effects help make backgrounds less visible so that your audience focuses on your face.
  • Samsung Multi Control lets you use your Galaxy Book2 Pro series’ keyboard and trackpad while navigating on your Galaxy Tab S8 screen

Through the use of Galaxy Book Smart Switch, users can move their data, photos, settings and other things from an old PC to their new Galaxy Book2. It’s supposed to help make the switch less cumbersome in the same way the Smart Switch app does on Android.
