Samsung Launches Two FE Tablets: Tab S9 FE & Tab S9 FE+

Samsung has finally launched the highly anticipated FE model line after skipping a generation with Galaxy S22 Series. Instead of trickling the release of the phones and tablets, the Korean has chosen to release them in a single event. As such, we have the Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Buds FE and two versions of the tablet edition: S9 FE+ and S9 FE+.

Instead of having a single tablet like the Tab S7 FE, the company has introduced two new models. The S9 FE gets a 10.9-inch display while the Tab S9 FE+ is fitted with a 12.4-inch unit. These are IPS panels with a 90Hz, refresh rate (supports S pen provided in-box). It borrows more than just a few styling cues from the more premium Tab S9 line.

They also get the same IP68 rating, which should make them robust enough to handle dust and light water splashes from daily use. Despite their slender appearance, the Tab S9 FE gets a 8,000mAh battery while the Tab S9 FE+ gets a larger, 10,090mAh unit. They are compatible with charging of up to 45W, which should ensure speedy charging rates.

Both tablets are powered by the Exynos 1380 processor, but the Tab S9 FE gets either 6GB or 8GB RAM and a choice of either 128GB or 256GB of storage. The Tab S9 FE+ gets either 8GB or 12GB RAM and a choice of either 128GB or 256GB of storage space. That said with the MicroSD card slot, you can increase storage space up to 1TB.

Samsung has given these new tablets a plethora of creative tools and apps like Goodnotes, LumaFusion, Clip Studio Paint and several others. This should make them great for sketching, jotting down notes and creating simple videos.

If you’re interested in getting one, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE is available to purchase from $449 in Mint, Silver, Gray or Lavender. Visit Samsung.com for more information on these tablets.
