Samsung One UI 3 reimagines Android 11 for today’s mobile experience
December 8, 2020Samsung Electronics has announced that the One UI 3.0 upgrade will be introduced on select Galaxy devices, bringing a better interface design, as well as a plethora of useful everyday features.
The upgrade will be available with the Android 11 OS, adding to Samsung’s pledge to provide the latest software updates to consumers, with an aim to help it support three generations of OS progressions for millions of gadgets.
One UI is available starting today for Galaxy S20 series devices (the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra) in Korea, the US, and most of Europe. The upgrade will be rolling out to additional countries and devices, including the Galaxy Note series in the weeks to come. Galaxy A devices will be available in the first half of 2021.
Fresh Popping Improvement
Samsung One UI 3 refines the Samsung One UI experience found on the Galaxy, makinh iy even more enjoyable. In the new interface, the most popular features – like the home screen, lock screen, notifications, and Quick Panel – have been visually enhanced to highlight important information.
The latest version of Tranquility offers new features, such as the Dim/Blur effect for notifications, which help you focus on what matters most, and widgets which give you a better organized, cleaner, and stylish experience on your Home screen.
The smoother motion effects and animation, mixed with the realistic haptic feedback, will let you navigate and take full advantage of your phone in a natural and intuitive way. After the update, your device is supposed to feel more smoothet, with One UI providing a more holistic experience over the wider Galaxy ecosystem, with seamless support for the new features available from any device.
No lacking Of Features
One benefit of the new UI is the Lock screen widgets that let you control your music and see calendar events and routines without having to unlock the screen.
The new messaging app makes it easier to track your messages and conversations by providing a one-stop look at all of them, so that you can quickly read and respond to your messages.
The edge-to-edge video call interface creates a fresh communication experience that brings you closer to your family and friends. The improved AI-software allows for zooming in even better on photos, improved autofocus and auto-exposure, helps to get better shots.

Now swipe up on the display while you are browsing a specific photo, and you will see a related group of similar photos. Memories remind us of the best days, so make sure none of them are lost by reverting your edited photos to their original state, even after they’re saved.
Personalize it according to your preferences!
Users will be able to tailor thr look to their preferences from now on. Easily access your most important options by adding them to your custom Quick Panel. This would be less stressful than going through the often-lengthy process to change the settings.
You can also share images, videos, and documents more easily than before. The custom share sheet gives you the ability to pin your favorite destinations, so you can access shared content from a contact, messaging app, or email straight away.
It also allows you to keep work and personal profiles so that you do not have to worry about sending something to the incorrect person. You can make it look even more unique by adding widgets and adjusting the transparency of the Always On Display so the clock matches your wallpaper. You can also change the design and color of the display or the clock on your Lock screen by tapping the style on the right.
Now you can even add video to incoming/outgoing call screens and make your call experience more personal while you are busy attending to other important things. The new UI 3 has been built with users in mind, including new digital wellbeing applications that assist you in identifying and changing your digital habits.
This tool helps you track your daily usage so you can see some changes in how you use your screen devices and check your usage while driving in order to make informed decisions as to when and how you use your Galaxy devices.
The Samsung Galaxy experience will continue to evolve with more updates arriving alongside new flagship launches in early 2021.
