Samsung Releases Monster M62 With 7,000mAh Battery For 3.3
March 2, 2021Samsung has released the follow up device to its incredible M51, a smartphone that had one of the biggest batteries fitted to a phone. Dubbed the ‘Monster’ the M51 featured a 6.7-inch FHD+ screen, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage and and an instantly large 7,000mAh battery.
Now, and in conjunction with Lazada’s 3.3 Sale today, the company has announced the M62. It has the same winning recipe as that of the M51, but in an updated, and cooler looking exterior. It retains the same 6.7-ich super AMOLED, FHD+ screen with a punch hole camera. However, its rear case is a stark contrast to that M51.
This year, Samsung choose to go with a unique two-tone finish. The ridge-textured back panel starts off with a silver-white color at the bottom that eventually progresses into either a dark green, blue of black finish. It’s an interesting idea, one that we are eager to see in person.
“The Galaxy M series are thoughtfully made to create a more connected, genuine and meaningful connection to meet consumers’ needs in this new normal– enabling them to share stories and engage with their friends and family through these essential features that matter most,” said Edward Han, President of Samsung Malaysia Electronics.
Specifications:
Display: 6.7″ FHD+, Super AMOLED Plus, Infinity-O Display
Chipset: Exynos 9825,Octa-core, Up to 2.7GHz
Camera Front: 32MP
Camera Rear: 64+12+5+5MP (F2.2)
Memory: 8+256GB
Battery: 7,000 mAh (25W fast charging)
It is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9825. this is a 7nm chipset, a rehashed version of the Exynos 9820, which powered the Galaxy S10 in certain markets. In certain others, the Snapdragon 855 was chosen as the chipset of choice. All things considered, having the Exynos 9825 in the M62, is a Godsend.
It features Samsung’s Knox security, in-screen fingerprint reader, 64+12+5+5MP (F2.2) rear camera and a 32MP selfie one. Taking this into consideration, one can’t help but wonder why we need flagship devices. The M62 ticks all the right boxes, which is saying a lot of a mid-range smartphone.
There’s still quite a lot of life left in the platform. And when coupled with 8GB RAM, it is bound to be able to chomp through tasks with relative ease. As part of the 3.3 sale, Samsung will be offering the M62 with 256GB of storage for just RM1,599.00. This is an incredible price for a phone that is powered by former flagship hardware.
