Samsung Renames Mobile Business To MX, Priority Given To User Experience
December 11, 2021Samsung is changing the name of its mobile business from Mobile Communications to MX, which is an abbreviation for Mobile Experience. The decision will take effect on December 10th, 2021, and in Samsung’s own words will signal the beginning of the new chapter for Galaxy. The shakeup is meant to prioritize customer needs as well as address the changing needs of business environments.
“We’re excited to announce the renaming of our business after decades of innovation and leadership in the mobile industry,” said TM Roh, President and Head of the MX Business. “We believe this name change will help us usher in a new era in mobile innovations where we can create even more exciting possibilities for Galaxy users.”
The company says that it will strive to provide the best mobile experiences to users. This is evidenced by its commitment to provide regular security updates and constantly evolving UI. Samsung will also continue to forge ahead with its open platform, which helps bring third-party partners into the fold in the development of the entire Galaxy ecosystem.
