See The Future With Samsung’s Noe QLED, MICRO LED TVs
January 7, 2021Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. introduced during its CES virtual First Look today its live portfolio of Neo QLED, microLED, and Lifestyle displays as part of its plan to reshape its role in the home.
Accessible Solutions that Empower People to Thrive
Samsung will “Go Green” over the next few years with the following long-term sustainability programs:
Managing Energy Use and Reducing Carbon Footprint
Samsung plans to decrease its carbon footprint by systematically decreasing the waste at its manufacturing sites that make its televisions. It will also seek to lower power consumption by users and use more recycled material in the manufacture of its LED and LCD TV sets.
Eco Friendly Packaging
In accordance with valuable customer feedback, Samsung is extending its ‘Eco-packaging’ design to its entire 2021 Lifestyle TV range and most of its Neo QLED range.
Eco-friendly packaging can minimize the amount that’s thrown away each year. By disposing of extraneous text and imagery, oil-based inks traditionally applied to TV packaging are eliminated, minimizing waste even more efficiently.
Solar Panel Remote Control
In 2021, Samsung televisions will come with a solar-powered remote using indoor, outdoor or USB light to recharge —a first-of-its-kind innovation for the brand.
The Remote Pack will help prevent over 99 million AAA batteries from being wasted over the course of 7 years.
To create the remote, Samsung developed a manufacturing process that repurposes plastics from recyclable bottles –including 24% recycled content.
Accessibility features – now available on all QLED and Neo QLED televisions – are designed to provide comprehensive support and added features that make TV more accessible to people with limited mobility or visual capabilities.
With specific features designed for those with hearing difficulties, such as Caption Moving, Sign Language Zoom, and Multi-Output Audio, giving them the ability to modify their viewing experience to better meet their needs and preferences.
Samsung’s new AI based Voice Guide feature will provide audio instructions for deaf and visually-impaired customers by 2022. By that year, Samsung will also have invested heavily in its accessibility features to make TV’s materials and menu items more understandable to these consumers.
New QLED Technology Promises a Glorious Display
Samsung is releasing into the market a whole new display technology, Neo QLED, to their flagship 8K (QN900A) and 4K (QN90A) models. QLED, enabled by the use of Neo QLED Quantum Dots, precisely controlled by Quantum Matrix Technology, and a Neo Quantum Processor optimized for Neo QLED. Samsung designed the Quantum Mini LED to be 40 times thinner than a conventional LED.
Without the need for a lens and for a package, the interior of the unit is filled instead with a uniquely thin film. This film that has been designed to be filled with several many folded grids of even more LEDs.
The quantum matrix technology includes a design that controls the densely packed LEDs, preventing blooming—allowing content to be experienced naturally. Quantum dot technology is embedded in Samsung’s signature QLED TV panels to create a brighter picture with a wider color spectrum than traditional LED TVs. These nano-sized LEDs adjust their luminance in response to image content, and absorb blue light to help illuminate bright HDR highlights on screen.
Regardless of input quality, it can optimize the picture to 4K or 8K picture output using 16 different neural network models, each trained in AI upscaling and deep learning technology.
Our new 2021 QLED 8K TV with “Infinity One” near bezel-free edge-to-edge design provides an even more immersive viewing experience with a sleek design and form factor.
The additional cable management box allows the TV to be easily connected to the wall without too much clutter. The affordable new video processor features support for High Dynamic Range10 (HDR10) and emerging HDR formats, including Dolby Vision, giving natural images a closer-to-the-source look.
Samsung’s 2021 Neo QLED 8K and 4K models come with smart features that complement future fitness needs, entertain the family and help the home office.
Samsung has introduced two new exclusive features with its QLED gaming TVs. Super Ultrawide GameView® lets users expand the aspect ratio of their favorite games by playing at the super-wide 21:9 or even at the ultra-wide 32:9 format.
The bigger field of view means players can anticipate more and miss less action. And the Game Bar lets players quickly see and adjust crucial aspects of play—specifically changing aspect ratios, checking input lag, or connecting a headset. Additionally, FreeSync Premium Pro reduces stuttering so that games play smoothly and
beautifully.
* Google offers a new video-calling app designed to enable consumers to begin high-quality, high-efficiency calls using just a phone and a camera. The smart camera can follow your movement, ensuring you are always in focus without you having to adjust anything.
