Smart devices are creeping into our homes, whether its in the form of a smart plug, Google Nest device, smart display or lights. They make tedious chores more bearable and provides us with peace of mind by keeping a watchful eye on our homes or networks. Samsung’s Connected Living is a line of interconnected smart devices that talk to each other to achieve a certain goal.

Controlling your home lighting, TV or kitchen appliances and be done from just about anywhere through the use of the SmartThings cloud service. It’s quite impressive, having the ability to control devices that are out of sight, yet communicate effortlessly with you. However, this experience is difficult to convey unless experienced in person.

That is why Samsung teamed up with Swedish comedian Nisse Hallberg for a Youtube series that showcases this tech. Hallberg moves into an apartment that is packed with connected products from Samsung’s concept Connected Living line. And with the help of invited experts, he comes to understand how said devices are able to make our daily lives easier.

Throughout the series, he gets to experience how technology simplifies tasks such as unlocking a door or cooking our food. In addition to this, Hallberg is lent a helping hand by expert guests who walk him through the features and functions of various devices and how they are put into practice.

Among the guests, are some of the Nordic region’s most prominent experts in their fields:

  • Finnish star chef Tommi Tuominen, who together with Nisse will explore how innovative technology can help make home dinner easier.
  • Norwegian filmmaker Nikolai Schirmer, helps Nisse create engaging content using smart technology.
  • Danish architect and host Frederikke Aagaard, who specializes in interior design and behavioral design, shares her best tips on how to make technology a natural part of the home.

“With our new series, we want to inspire a smarter and more connected life. We want to show that the smart home is not complicated and that our innovative technology in Connected Living not only makes everyday life easier but also much more fun,” said Jenny Fisher Toivo Marketing Director for Consumer Electronics and Corporate Marketing at Samsung.

The Connected Living series, which is shot in Swedish, is an entertaining portrayal of how easy it can be to fall in love with the way smart devices work and improve our daily lives. Though we aren’t able to understand what’s being said, the message that is conveyed transcends the language barrier.
