Sony’s second installment of the Xperia 10, brings with it, a whole host of improvements to target buyers with the thirst for media consumption. It has a 21:9, 6-inch OLED TRILUMINOS display. It’s the same tech that allows the Bravia TVs to produce impressively vivid colours.

Flaunting the same boxy design as the rest of Sony’s smartphones, the Xperia 10 II measures just 69mm across, which makes it a lot easier to grip, regardless of palm size. And it weighs just 151g, which is light enough to not be much of an inconvenience.

Powering the device is a middle of the road Qualcomm Snapdragon 665, which is said to deliver decent performance and fast connectivity. The battery is rated at 3,600mAh but Sony’s software helps to preserve its health and lengthen lifespan.

Battery Care is a great feature that we wished more manufacturers would adopt. The Xperia 10 II selectively charges the battery when kept plugged in for extended periods of time. When left to charge overnight, the Xperia 10 II will charge the battery to 90% but waits till the morning to take in the remaining 10%.

It has a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is good news to legacy hardware fans and offers HD wired or wireless audio quality for an authentic music experience. Pre-installed with Android 10, you can have the Xperia 10 II in either Black or White. Sony will be shipping the phone to select markets later this year. Stay tuned for more….
