Stadia Now Compatible with 19 Android Phones!
February 19, 2020There’s good news for Stadia fans. Google’s cloud streamed gaming service is now accessible to more Android devices. Previously, since launch, Access to the platform was reserved for Pixel devices, namely, the Pixel 2, 3 and 4.
This is a good move by Google, and is one that will probably lure many mobile gamers to the relatively new platform. Stadia aims to provide a hassle free gaming experience to users by removing hardware limitations from the equation.
Since Google’s cloud servers are tasked with running these games, users should be able to play their favourite games at the highest resolution possible and with a ‘lag-free’ experience, regardless of what device they use. Though Stadia hasn’t quite achieved this yet, that could change in the near future.
Beginning on February 20th, the search giant will allow other Android devices such as those from Samsung, ASUS and Razer to access Stadia. The complete list of compatible devices are as follows:
- Samsung Galaxy S8
- Samsung Galaxy S8+
- Samsung Galaxy S8 Active
- Samsung Galaxy Note8
- Samsung Galaxy S9
- Samsung Galaxy S9+
- Samsung Galaxy Note9
- Samsung Galaxy S10
- Samsung Galaxy S10E
- Samsung Galaxy S10+
- Samsung Galaxy Note10
- Samsung Galaxy Note10+
- Samsung Galaxy S20
- Samsung Galaxy S20+
- Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra
- Razer Phone
- Razer Phone 2
- ASUS ROG Phone

Google’s Stadia game library can also be accessed and played on tablets, laptops and PCs. But a Chromecast Ultra is required to play these games on any TV. Take a look at the requirements here. Stadia’s catalog of games has expanded since launch. Expect further additions in the coming months.
