TCL To Launch Smartphone With Paper-Like Display

In the coming days, TCL will introduce a new smartphone that offers a paper-like display

TCL will be introducing a new smartphone next month that it claims is the world’s first and only smartphone to offer a full colour, paper-like display. Named the 40 NXTPAPER 4G and 5G, the devices are shaping up to be intriguing offerings.

The company says this is possible because of the significant advancements made in display technology. TCL also claims that it promises to redefine the way we consume, work, and create content. The display offers anti-glare functionality that’s made possible by the phone’s paper-like matte effect texture.

It’s also fingerprint smudge-resistant, which may help hide the unsightly marks left behind after interacting with the display. TCL says that this display will allow users a comfortable and natural reading experience that’s easier on the eyes than traditional ones.

But that isn’t all. The display can be used with a precision stylus that TCL calls the T-Pen. This will let users take notes, draw and doodle as they would on other stylus enabled devices. It will be interesting to see how well this phone fairs in the real world against the notetaking stalwarts from Samsung.

TCL’s 40 NXTPAPER will be launched in the coming days. If you would like to know more about this, visit the company’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/TCLMobileMalaysia
