The BetterMe Program For Mental Health
October 11, 2021
On October 10, BetterMe: Mental Health launched a podcast designed to help users gain empathy, increase social awareness, and better relate to those struggling with mental illness. Whenever we encounter people with different mental states, we do not always know how to act when it comes to sensitive issues.
Nearly one billion people today suffer from mental disorders. However, these conditions may go unreported for various reasons. Substance abuse leads to the deaths of approximately 3 million people every year. About 40 people commit suicide every minute. There is a lack of attention given to mental health when it comes to health globally, and the pandemic only served to make things worse. In these times of uncertainty, it is more important than ever to help those in need.
Here are a few tips:
* Support those who suffer from eating disorders, depression, and burnout;
* Be there for abused individuals;
* Never impose your help onto another individual;
* provide first aid for a panic attack, and much more.
The program will also enable users to:
* Use effective communication and support techniques for patients under stress;
* Reflect on yourself as you help others – see things from a new perspective;
* Develop an understanding of relationship management and how empathizing can help improve communication with co-workers, friends, and family;
* Identify the boundaries that you need and ask for help when required.
BetterMe: Mental Health will feature a new podcast from October 3rd to October 31st for free.
World Mental Health Day is celebrated on 10 October, and Google Play has developed a list of ‘Apps for resilience & more’. The BetterMe Mental Health app has been recommended by the United States, Canada, Australia, and many other countries.
In an effort to raise mental health awareness and mobilize efforts across the globe, World Mental Health Day aims to mobilize support for mental health. Together with qualified psychologists, we are putting in place measures to help everyone in peacefully and effectively living with people of different mental states.
