Users can now customize the new ColorOS 11.1 user interface (UI) to their liking. The Reno5 Pro 5G, Reno5 5G, and Reno5 Z 5G all come preloaded with the OPPO OS, which includes all the Android 11 features in addition to better performance and enhanced security.

“We aim to bring an improved Android experience closer to users while improving it with customization that satisfies the specific OPPO needs.” This is what OPPO president Ethan Xue said. Having heard from users that they needed greater control over their smartphones, our ColorOS team has added even more options, offering plenty of freedom to personalize their user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) and feablely express themselves.”

The enhanced customization features in ColorOS 11.1 include 8 major customization areas, including colour, Always-On Display, wallpaper, ringtone, font, Dark Mode, icons, vibration, and Google Lens. It also incorporates OS-first features like Three-Finger Translate. SuperTouch provides smarter system fluency through intelligently identifying user scenarios and tailoring the touch response accordingly.

Make Life Easy
A combination of OPPO’s proprietary lag-reducing engine and Quantum Animation has been introduced in ColorOS 11.1 to help combat lags and stutters. This increases RAM utilization for the Reno5 series by 45%, resulting in improved response rate of 32% and frame rate of 17%. AI App Preloading based on usage patterns can preload the most used apps, thus enabling faster loading.

Increased Efficiency
Reno5 users can leverage ColorOS 11.1’s features to improve their productivity. Google Lens is one such tool that was developed in collaboration with OPPO and Google. Taking a screenshot with three fingers captures and translates text.

FlexDrop offers a simple and intuitive way to simultaneously watch videos and read text while performing other daily tasks. Users can select up to six apps to run in low-battery situations with the new Super Power Saving Mode. Meanwhile, Battery Guard prevents damage by learning the way you charge. During the night, the smartphone is stopped charging once the battery reaches 80%, before it is restarted to obtain a full charge before morning.

Customizable interface unleashes personalities
A unique UI customization enhancement, ColorOS 11.1 offers unprecedented customization of the Always-On Display, Theme, and Wallpaper, plus fonts, icons, and ringtones. ColorOS 11.1 on top of the Reno5 Series also features two color schemes and three contrast levels to enhance stock Android’s Dark Mode. You can mix white noise in OPPO Relax 2.0 by adding your favorite sounds from other cities around the world, which features an extensive and immersive sound collection.

Getting a handle on the user privacy
ColorOS 11.1 adds additional privacy protections and data security features to the Reno5 series, while building on the Android 11.1 privacy features. Private System separates applications and data into another version that only can be accessed through fingerprints or passwords. The new shortcut to App Lock enables users to lock apps by using passwords, fingerprints, or facial recognition. A comprehensive suite of security measures is used to collect, store, and transfer private user data.
