There two types of chromebooks, the ‘bare-bones’ devices aimed at the education sector and the svelte ones meant to entice serious buyers. Samsung’s latest Galaxy Chromebook falls into the latter category.

Sporting a thin and light design, the Korean 2-in-1 laptop is nothing less than a work of art. It incorporates the latest from Samsung, Intel and Google, making it one of the better Chromebooks on the market.

Google’s Chrome OS has secured a footing among those who appreciate its cloud-centric functionality, ease of use and ability to run on low-end hardware. Samsung has been a strong proponent for its deployment, churning out various models including the Chromebook 3, Chromebook Pro and Chromebook Plus.

This new Chromebook however, is the thinnest one so far, and somehow, still manages to have a 4K AMOLED display. It features touch and pen input, allowing creative types to sketch their artwork, digitally. The convenience of a 2-in-1 can’t be overstated. They function well as tablets as they do as laptops.

According to Samsung, the new Galaxy Chromebook is part of Intel’s Project Athena. It’s a quality standard developed by the chipmaker to ensure better user experience in terms of performance, instant wake, better responsiveness, and long battery life.
