Samsung’s A52 is a significant improvement over its predecessor, the A51. It’s better built and has a metal frame that is colored to match the phone’s rear. Gone are the glossy coatings of the camera array and shell. This year’s phone features an all matte finish that lends it a subdued but intriguing aesthetic.

It has a really good Super AMOLED 1080P panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. There’s 25W fast charging technology, which is a first for a mid-range Samsung smartphone. There’s also the quad camera setup, which features a 64MP main camera that is equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS).

Thankfully, the phone ships with a charging brick, however it’s only a 15W charger but the phone supports up to 25W fast charging. Samsung has chosen not to include the wired earphones for the A52, which may be a sign of what’s to come. Take a look at our unboxing video to see what you get in the box.

We’ve also tested it thoroughly over the past several weeks, take a look at the review for more details on what it’s like to own the A52. But if you would like to know what’s inside the phone, Samsung has published an official “Assembly” video where it shows in stages the various components of the phone being brought together to build an A52.

It’s fascinating to witness how much technology can be packed in such a confined space. We are used to seeing tear-down videos, where technicians disassemble a phone the best way they know how. But here, it’s a nice change of pace to see a phone being built up from scratch. Take a look at the video and let us know what you think of the Galaxy A52.
