Apple’s Refreshed 13-inch MacBook Pro Is Blessed With Better Hardware

Apple has updated its ever popular 13-inch MacBook Pro with better hardware, placing it in a different league than its once revered, predecessor. The most obvious change of them all, is the the Magic Keyboard, the same one that recently made its way into the 16-inch Pro model.

The keyboard employs a scissor key mechanism to operate, as opposed to the former model’s troublesome butterfly system. The latter’s reputation was marred by reliability issues that included compromised key membranes. The Touchbar also shares its space with a physical Escape key in place of the former’s virtual one.

Besides this, the new model also gets 10th-generation quad-core processors that offer Turbo Boost speeds of up to 4.1GHz. There’s also the option of pairing these chips to 16GB 3733MHz memory, or, go ‘all-out’ and opt for the maximum limit of 32GB RAM.

SSD storage choices range from the base’s 256GB to 1TB. But if that isn’t enough, Apple also offers storage capacity of up to 4TB, which should appeal to video creators. Apart from this, the refreshed model line also gets Cupertino’s T2 security chip and impressive retina display.

If you’re interested, the new 13-inch MacBook Pro is available to order today, at a staring price of $1,299, or $1,199 for the education sector. Check out Apple’s website for more information on pricing and possible hardware permutations.
