The GBD-200 shock-resistant watch is the new addition to Casio’s sports-driven G-SQUAD line. The compact G-SHOCK watches feature the iconic square design that is reminiscent of the first model. They offer convenient functionality for everyday use as well as workouts.

A new, smaller profile design for the case distinguishes the GBD-200 from its predecessor. When compared to its predecessor, it is 2.0mm narrower, 8.8mm shorter, and 3.4mm thinner. It is designed so that when viewed from the side, the case, bezel, and other parts all appear flat, thus further emphasizing the watch’s slimness. With its soft, flexible urethane band, the watch provides exceptional ventilation. With holes near the lugs that attach the band to the case, the watch is breathable. Band length can also be adjusted precisely due to the band’s 5mm hole spacing.

In addition to its excellent functionality, the GBD-200 is also easy to use. When pairing the watch with a smartphone via Bluetooth, the acceleration sensor will adjust the distance captured by the GPS on the smartphone. Upon adjusting this setting once, the watch will then measure distances even more accurately, even when not connected to a smartphone.

Also included in the watch are features that measure running pace and provide an Auto lap functionality that automatically keeps track of times over predetermined distances. With the dedicated G-SHOCK MOVE app, users can keep logs of their daily workouts, such as step count and calories burned, as well as activity logs, from within the watch, right on their smartphone.

The accelerometer alone can be used to measure distances in previous Casio models. The accuracy of the smartphone’s GPS is also dependent on it.
