AI Features Of The New Samsung Galaxy S25 Series

Samsung’s launch of the S25 Series brings with it One UI 7. It’s the latest iteration of the company’s spin on Android. It leans heavily on AI with the promise of creating a more personalized experience for each user.

It’s supposed to be a starting point of a shared vision with Google in imagining Android with AI at its core. Inclusion of AI agents with multimodal capabilities allow the S25 series to interpret text, speech, images and videos with a more natural feel.

Improvements have been made to features like Circle to Search, which allows the phone to be quicker and more helpful when asked to look up something that’s displayed on your screen. It can now recognize phone numbers, emails and URLs.

The S25 series can execute searches with context-aware suggestions for the next possible steps. These phones are also better at understanding natural language. You can ask them for things like find a specific photo in your galley or adjust the size of fonts on your screen.

Pressing and holding the side button, activates Gemini, Google’s answer to ChatGPT. You can interact with it when using various Samsung, Google and third-party apps. Ask it to find a preferred flight schedule and share it with someone, and should be able to do it with ease.

Galaxy S25 keeps calls organized with Call Transcript and summary. Writing Assist can summarize content or automatically format notes without needing to switch between applications. Drawing Assist allows you create artwork with the your sketches, text or image prompts.

Personal Data Engine allows AI computing to take place on the device to deliver a personalized feed of information and suggestions. Now Brief provides suggestions and information throughout the day. And its content is displayed via the Now Bar on the lock screen (similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island).

ProScaler now has a more advanced and efficient AI image processing system, which allows for a 40% improvement in display image scaling quality. This helps make content sharper in real time for a better viewing experience.

In recording, 10-bit HDR is applied as default, which offers four times richer color expression compared to 8-bit. This allows the phone to capture more details in any lighting conditions. Low-light performance has improved as well because they are now able to analyze movement and time to reduce noise more effectively.

Audio Eraser removes unwanted noise in videos by isolating categories of sounds including voices, music, wind, nature, crowd, and noise. You can control what to tone down or eliminate entirely.

Portrait Studio has also been enhanced to allow you to create personalized avatars with more realistic facial expressions. Filters introduces new analog-style filters, delivering film-like aesthetics for photos and videos.
