Signs are merging that the global economy is ready to restart. Automakers have set forth plans to resume production, several other sectors have done the same, and now Apple, is following suit. According to an article by CNBC, Cupertino will be reopening certain stores in the US as early as next week.

In early March, due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic, Apple chose to shutter stores around the world, ironically, just as China’s stores reopened for business. The decision to reopen said brick-and-mortar stores indicates their importance to the company’s product sales.

Online stores offer a better level of convenience to the consumer. Unfortunately, many still prefer to examine their potential purchases, in person, before forking over the dough. That said, Apple will be reopening its physical stores in stages. It also told CNBC, safety measures will be introduced that include temperature checks and social distancing.

Some stores in Idaho, South Carolina, Alabama and Alaska will lead the company’s campaign to reopen. Shortly there after, others from around the region may follow their lead. As economies around the world begin to reopen, so too, will their respective Apple Stores. That said, Apple’s cautious approach is a welcomed tactic, considering that the fight against COVID-19 isn’t over yet.
