The coronavirus pandemic is a global health problem. And to combat the spread of the disease, governments across the globe have instituted some form of lockdown in areas that are badly affected by COVID-19. This has resulted in business closures across non-essential sectors.

As such, many of us have been forced to work from home. Its an unfamiliar experience, having to accomplish office related tasks from the convenience of your own home. Fret not, here some apps that can help keep you productive for the entire time:

Google Calendar
Regardless of your computing platform, the Calendar app is effective at keeping people on track and help with coordination efforts. It also provides a detailed overview of the tasks set over a certain time frame. Setting reminders can also keep workers on focused on the job at hand.

Hangouts
If your company utilizes Google’s business solutions such as G suite, Hangouts can prove to be a valuable communication tool. It is accessible on mobile devices and web browsers through Gmail. On your web browser, the bottom left portion of Gmail is reserved for your recent Hangout conversations. All communications are backed up to the Drive, so it’s close to impossible to loose any of such data.

Instead of scouring the web for the latest news articles, it would be less time consuming to use a news app like Flipboard. It provides the latest relevant news based on a user’s set preference. Articles published by media outlets from around the globe are tabulated into an easy to access platform. It’s available on mobile platforms and PCs.

Spotify
Listening to music while you work can help with productivity. Genres such as classic Jazz can help keep your mind focused on the task at hand. Spotify has a plethora of albums that are tailored to keeping listeners dialed into their work for the entire day.
