Canon has unveiled the highly anticipated EOS-1D X Mark III, which is the successor to the EOS-1D X Mark II. An ideal companion for sports and wildlife photography, this flagship DSLR was developed using feedback from the photography community and EOS-1D X and EOS-1D X Mark II photographers. Carrying on its legacy of amazing cameras, the EOS-1D X Mark III is capable of capturing vibrant images and videos.

Thanks to the new auto focus feature, EOS-1D X Mark III is said to offer better precision, reliability, stability and subject tracking. It also gives new photographers more choices when it comes to the perfect shot selection. With the new auto focus (sensor offers 28x better resolution than predecessor) algorithm, improvements can be seen with stability and live view shooting.

In live view, users can make use of 525 AF areas using the Dual Pixel CMOS AF system covering approximately 90×100 percent of the image sensor. The EOS-1D X Mark III supports better faster frame rates with full AF and AE, using either the optical viewfinder (up to approx. 16fps mechanical shutter) or Live View (up to approx. 20fps mechanical or electronic shutter).

The performance of the new CMOS sensor and DIGIC processor, enable the camera to deliver greater image quality at higher ISOs. It also offers better stability in capturing greater images in 10bit using the HEIF (High Efficiency Image File Format). It is also able to comfortably shoot 4k videos at 60 frames per second.

Managing your media is extremely easy because the EOS-1D X Mark III has several connectivity options, which are WiFi and low-energy bluetooth. That’s not all, the camera can be operated in low light conditions with the help the illuminated buttons, has better control for AF points and provides better battery life compared to its predecessor.
