Facebook’s Portal, a hands-free video calling device has been given several new features that will help extend its usefulness. In addition to Workplace, The company recently introduced support for Zoom, GoToMeeting, and Webex on Portal Mini, Portal, and Portal+. The objective is to make it easier to connect with people wherever you are by adding Zoom to Portal TV.

There is a shift towards remote work, and it’s projected that this trend will only increase in the next few years. Recent surveys by PwC found that 55% of employees would prefer to work from home at least three days a week after COVID. Portal makes feeling more connected with your team seamless, whether you are meeting one-on-one or working collaboratively.

The Smart Camera keeps you in frame whether you use your hands or pace around the room. Smart Sound enhances your voice so you are audible over work calls, regardless of background noise.
During meetings or throughout your day, Portal does all the video chat stuff for you, freeing up more screen space for increased productivity.

The Zoom functionality is now available on your home’s largest screen, so that you can work at the couch just as well as a desk. You can also join breakout rooms for brainstorming in small groups, organize your schedule with calendar integration, perform screen sharing to improve remote collaboration, or create a virtual background to enhance your overall experience.

You can also use Zoom on Portal TV for work calls, as well as to connect with family and friends after work.
