LG Introduces New UltraFine Monitors For Creative Professionals

LG has introduced two new LG UltraFine OLED Pro monitors, namely the32BP95E and 27BP95E, which are aimed at creative professionals. Their OLED’s self-lit pixels provide more accurate color reproduction than conventional LCDs as well as better HDR and SDR performance. The 32 and 27-inch monitors have 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160), 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.

Unlike LCDs, OLED screens don’t require backlighting. This allows for independent pixel control for better color fidelity and contrast. LG says this is why its UltraFine monitor range are free of the distracting halo or blooming effect associated with conventional LCD panels.

Both of these new LG monitors come with detachable self-calibration sensors and monitor hoods. Said sensors are used with LG’s free Calibration Studio software to measure light emitted from the display and make adjustments to maintain a high degree of color accuracy and consistency. The hood can be used to reduce reflections and glare from external sources.

These monitors have relatively slim dimensions and are lightweight, which makes it easy to move them around. The respective stand attaches to the rear of the display with a one-click mechanism. It allows adjustments for height, pivot and tilt.
