Samsung has taken a significant step forward in reimagining the Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip for the Malaysian market. In a groundbreaking initiative, the company has collaborated with top local organizations and young talent from universities to unlock new possibilities and enhance the foldable user interface and user experience (UI/UX).

The initiative kicked off with the involvement of key partners, including Ambank, Family Mart, Maxis, Pay4U, and ZUS Coffee. By leveraging the cutting-edge capabilities of Samsung’s foldable devices and the flexibility of the Android operating system, these partners aim to create a seamless and immersive experience for Malaysian consumers. Ambank, for instance, is exploring innovative ways to enhance mobile banking services, enabling customers to effortlessly manage their finances on the go, while Family Mart seeks to redefine convenience shopping with a user-friendly interface that takes advantage of the unique form factor of foldable devices.

Maxis, a leading telecommunications provider, collaborates with Samsung to optimize network connectivity and develop custom features that capitalize on foldable devices’ capabilities. In addition, Pay4U, a popular mobile payment platform, is working closely with Samsung to revolutionize the way Malaysians make transactions.

ZUS Coffee, a renowned local coffee chain, is also part of this exciting collaboration. The company envisions creating an immersive and interactive ordering experience for its customers using the Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip. Through an optimized UI/UX design, customers will be able to explore ZUS Coffee’s menu, customize their orders, and even participate in interactive coffee brewing tutorials, all within the palm of their hands.

This collaborative initiative between Samsung Malaysia Electronics and these esteemed partners reflects a shared vision to push the boundaries of innovation and deliver transformative experiences to Malaysians. By harnessing the capabilities of foldable devices and the Android platform, this partnership aims to revolutionize the way Malaysians engage with local apps, unlocking new possibilities and setting the stage for a future of enhanced mobile experiences.

In the near future, Samsung will expand its partnership portfolio to include Gigi Coffee, Golden Screen Cinemas, TGV Cinemas, and Zapp. Samsung plans to collaborate with local universities on a hackathon in which students will pitch ideas for foldable apps. As part of its ESG mission, it also aims to empower young Malaysians to make waves in the tech industry.
