Roborock has announced the Q5 Pro and Q8 Max, the newest mid-range robot vacuum addition to its Q-Series line up. The former is an entry-level option while the latter features smarter features like obstacle avoidance technology, which allows it to meander past obstacles to effectively clean your home.

Both devices utilize the DuoRoller Brush system that Roborock claims causes less hair tangles and is about 20% more efficient at removing hair from carpets. This coupled with a suction power of 5,500Pa, allows both vacuums to perform well at removing dirt, hair, dust, and other types of debris off all types of floors.

Despite one being more sophisticated than the other, both the Q5 Pro and Q8 Max have LiDAR based navigation that allows them to create detailed maps of their surroundings. This information can be used with the Roborock app to access greater features like creating No-Go zones, fast cleaning, cleaning along floor directions and receiving smart suggestions.

Besides vacuuming, these devices also have a mopping system that can help clean the floors of your home. Their enhanced siblings, Q5 Pro+ and Q8 Max+ can be paired with the RockDock Plus auto-emptying dock. As such, they can deposit their contents after vacuuming, into said dock’s E-12 rated dust bags. It can store up to 7 weeks of dust without needing to be emptied.

Then there’s the Dyad Pro Combo. A convertible, wet-dry vacuum that can be fitted with four different additional attachments for various purposes. It’s meant to be a versatile vacuum cleaner that can be used to clean a multitude of both wet and dry messes. The multi-rollers allow the vacuum to clean carpets, tabletops, and other narrow spaces effectively.

It has a suction power of 17,000Pa and can clean as close to 1mm away from edges and corners. Roborock says that it has intelligent features that adapt to cleaning power, water flow and the ability to automatically dispense cleaning solution when needed.

In addition to this, the Dyad Pro Combo’s self-cleaning system automatically cleans its roller brushes and dry them with warm air at 50℃. When fully charged, the vacuum can operate for up to 43 minutes when used as a wet-dry vacuum and 60 minutes when used as a handheld vacuum.

Contrary to widespread belief, Roborock does more than just vacuum cleaners. The company also has a Zeo One, an all-in-one washer dryer that uses Zeo-cycle temperature drying technology. It combines both washing (10kg) and drying (6kg) tasks with features that eliminate bacteria, pet dander, allergens, and stubborn stains.

Roborock’s proprietary Zeo-cycle moderate-temperature drying technology can dry your delicate clothes at moderate temperatures. This is controlled by the AI algorithm and smarts sensors to avoid damaging the material. It can absorb moisture that measures 288,000m2 without extreme heat, equivalent to 41,143 times its own area.

Zeo One also has a LintClear self-cleaning system that automatically collects and removes lint without the need to clean the lint filter manually. There’s also a smart self-dosing system that dispenses detergent to make the sashing & drying experience even more convenient.

Like the vacuum cleaners, the Zeo One is used with the Roborock app to remotely customize cleaning modes, determine dryness of the fabric, setting custom cleaning schedules and the option to clean during off-peak hours.

Though there’s no word yet on its availability, Roborock says more will be revealed soon. The Q5 Pro, Q8 Max, Dyad Pro Combo will be available to purchase on Amazon and Roborock’s Official Store in the United States beginning in October. The Q5 Pro starts at an MSRP of $429.99, the Q8 Max at $599.99, and the Dyad Pro Combo at $659.99.
