Samsung Magician 7 Aims to Keep SSDs Operating At Their Best

Samsung’s Magician 7 software meant for the company’s solid-state drives, is now available for download. It enables users to quickly and easily access information, set preference and manage their SSD’s performance, power usage, capacity, health, security capabilities and more via a new dashboard.

The new software offers integrative drive health check and diagnostic tools to identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that includes helpful information for a the new Chatbot. The following are some of the software’s features:

Portable SSD Support

Users can use this feature to access Performance Benchmark, firmware updates, security functions such as password and fingerprint reset, and more.

Magician Help Center

Provides easy online access to help and support for Samsung SSDs. In addition to this, users can get answers to questions via the Chatbot feature, and find information, solutions, and tips on several topics.

New Mode Options

Power and performance options can be chosen to best suit one’s needs. These include Full Performance mode for maximum SSD performance, Power Saving mode for increased power efficiency, Standard mode for moderate power use, and Custom mode that enables users to set specific conditions. (Only available for certain NVMe SSD models)

Customizable Benchmark Testing

Test volume, number of tests, chunk size, number of threads and more. Users can tailor their benchmark tests based on preferred conditions to ensure an SSD is operating at an optimal level.
