Samsung S25 Edge Is Here: It’s An ‘Extra’ Slim Flagship
May 15, 2025Samsung has launched the S25 Edge, an ultra slim take on the S25 line up. It’s being marketed as a phone that balances premium looks with pro-level performance and wrapped in a titanium body, which is only 5.8mm thick.
It looks just like the rest of the S25 line up safe for a more refined sillhoute and two vertically mounted rear cameras. The phone also gets a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, it offers a blend of vibrancy and toughness.

One of the two rear cameras is a 200MP wide lens that should be able to take high resolution pictures with ease in both good and poor lighting conditions. It also offers 40% improved brightness in low-light environments. Then there is the 12MP ultrawide sensor that is supposed to offer detailed macro photography. The absense of a telephoto lens proves that sacrifices had to be made somewhere to achieve such a thin profile.

Galaxy S25 Edge benefits from the same ProVisual Engine that was optimized for Galaxy S25 with pro-grade enhancements, like ensuring sharp details for clothes or plants and natural, true-to-life skin tone in portraits. It also gets the Galaxy AI-powered editing features, including Audio Eraser and Drawing Assist.

Galaxy S25 Edge gets the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy, which is the same processor available in all Galaxy S25 series devices globally. The phone can stay cool under heavy usage thanks to a reconfigured vapor chamber that is now thinner, yet broader for steady heat dissipation.
The chip is coupled with 12GB of RAM either 256GB or 512GB of storage, depending on which option you choose. This puts the S25 Edge on par with the rest of Samsung’s flagship offerings this year.
That said, the S25 Edge only gets a 3,900mAh battery, which is considerably lower than the rest of the S25 line up, which includes the base S25. This may not bode well for overall usabiility but we will have to wait and see how the device fairs in the real world.
Matching the Galaxy S series’ renowned performance standards, Galaxy S25 Edge features advanced, efficient AI image processing with ProScaler,4 which delivers a 40% improvement5 in display image scaling quality, while incorporating Samsung’s customized mobile Digital Natural Image engine (mDNIe).

Galaxy S25 Edge will be available soon in a range of colors, including Titanium Silver, Titanium Jetblack and Titanium Icyblue.
