Samsung Says Financial Sector Intrigued By Its Foldables

Samsung claims that enterprise adoption of its foldables from January to October 2022 has gone through the roof. Compared to the same period last year, there’s been a 105% increase. But that isn’t all, because the company expects the trend to keep going as it says shipments are expected to reach 16 million units worldwide.

This is a 73% increase year on year, which proves that consumers are pivoting away from traditional smartphones. Samsung’s Galaxy Fold4 and Flip4 5G are far better than their first-generation forebears. Built better and last longer, these phones are a great alternative for people who want extra screen real estate without sacrificing convenience.

Multitasking and other productivity work is easier to accomplish on larger screens, which is why it makes sense that enterprise users are flocking to foldables. Working from home or remotely from anywhere means that you need to carry a versatile device that just gets things done without the added inconvenience.

The financial services industry is particularly attracted to foldables. About 74% of the sample group of financial advisers say staying connected via mobile apps is important or critical. The Fold4 and its expensive 7.6-inch screen offers a PC-like experience while on the move. Despite this, its foldable hinge gives it pocket-friendly dimensions.

“Samsung Galaxy foldable smartphones were created to open up opportunities for new ways to work and explore creativity,” said KC Choi, EVP and Head of Global Mobile B2B Team, MX Business at Samsung Electronics. “This rapid growth in investment demonstrates our enterprise customers’ need for meaningful innovations to enhance workforce productivity.”

Integration with DocuSign7, which is a signature solution software allows users to quickly sign documents while on the go. Users can also drag and drop email attachments in multi-view mode directly into DocuSign eSignature. Samsung says that it’s used by 24 out of the 25 top Fortune 500 financial companies.

DocuSign offers something close to a PC-like experience with the help of Samsung’s DeX interface. When the phone is connected to an external monitor, the software’s support for high-resolution screens helps create a proper, professional experience.

And, for the financial professionals constantly in and out of the office, DocuSign created a PC-Like experience using Samsung DeX mode. Simply connect the device to a monitor and thanks to DocuSign’s high-resolution support and adaptive design approach, professionals receive the same grade experience for any screen size or orientation.

Next year, the Korean giant believes that it will be able to ship 26 million foldables to users worldwide. This is an impressive feat for technology that is still considered to be in its infancy. But as long as Samsung continues to churn out products as robust as the latest generation Fold4, reaching said target wouldn’t be too difficult.
