Sony Releases ‘PS5 Ready’ 4K And 8K TVs

This coming August, Sony will be releasing what it calls PlayStation5 ready televisions in Malaysia. The BRAVIA X90H 4K and the Z8H 8K TVs feature full array LEDs and 120 fps, low latency screens. These TVs are also able to provide smooth video quality while gaming.

Unlike many high definition TVs out there, these BRAVIAs are equipped with Game Mode. Its a feature that allows users use and wake both the TV and PS5 with with their DualSense controller, as well as use the included TV remote to control the console.

Now, Sony claims that both TVs offer vibrant colors and stunning contrast, made possible by the best in class family of X1 processors. Acoustics are supposed to be good too, as it should produce realistic and captivating audio that will provide for an immersive gaming experience.

Now the BRAVIA X90H comes in 55, 65, 75 and 85-inch screen sizes while the more capable BRAVIA Z8H comes with an 85-inch screen. The former is still relatively affordable with a starting price of RM4,299 but the latter’s pricetag suggests that its well out of reach of the common man (RM79,999.00).

Sony’s PlayStation 5 is slated for release in December, just in time for the holiday season. It is the most capable console of its kind and powered by an AMD Ryzen Octa-core chip. According to the company’s specification, it can support 4K video output of up to 120Hz and at 8K resolution but probably with a lower refresh rate.
