EISA Multimedia Smartphone 2021-2022: Xperia 1 III
EISA Home Theatre Projector 2021-2022: VPL-VW590ES

EISA Camera of the Year: Alpha 1
The Alpha 1 does not require photographers to make the traditional tradeoff between resolution and speed, because it offers both. There are two features at the heart of the camera that are powerful sensors and a fast processor: a full-frame 50.1 MP stacked Exmor RSTM CMOS image sensor and the BIONZ XRTM processor for fast read speed and uninterrupted screen viewing.

Flash synchronization can be done using the dual-driven shutter up to 1/400 second and using the electronic shutter up to 1/200 second. The Alpha 1 records 10 bits 30p 4:2:0 movies at up to 8K (7680×4320) and features 10x optical image stabilization. A professional-grade product with improved tethered shooting capabilities, it offers a professional workflow and the latest technologies for data transfer that make it the most desirable instrument for professionals.

EISA Photo/Video Camera: Alpha 7S III
Video quality is provided by the Alpha 7S III without any compromises. An Exmor RTM CMOS image sensor with a resolution of 12.2 megapixels backlit full-frame enables outstanding sensitivity performance up to ISO 409,600 and minimises the effects of rolling shutter. With its full-pixel readout, you can also watch videos that are crisp and clean without the need for cropping. While in the slow motion mode, the camera can record for more than an hour. Full HD/240p and 4K/120p versions are also available.

It can record 16-bit RAW footage internally to a compatible recorder over HDMI as well as records 10-bit video with 4:2:2 colour subsampling on its internal memory. It features an industry-leading 9.44 million-dot OLED viewfinder and a 3.0 type side flip LCD screen, which let you monitor your subject with ease.

EISA Standard Lens: FE 50mm F1.2 GM
The F1.2 aperture and outstanding image quality combine with an amazingly compact and lightweight design to give you an outstanding imaging experience. XA (extremely aspherical) lens elements are combined with an 11-blade circular diaphragm for pleasing bokeh. Autofocus and tracking are greatly improved with the four XD Linear Motors (extreme dynamic).

EISA Wideangle Lens: FE 14mm F1.8 GM
Sony’s 14mm F/1.8 prime lens is a compact large-aperture ultra-wide angle lens, utilizing its latest optical design and manufacturing technologies. It can be carried in the field as easily as it can be used in studio environments. The image quality and reliability are, however, not compromised by its compact size and weight, making it ideal for demanding conditions. The FE 14mm F1.8 GM offers impressive performance for landscapes, nightscapes, architecture, and videography.

EISA Wideangle Zoom Lens (full-frame): FE 12-24mm F2.8 GM
Sony’s wide-angle ultra-wide zoom lens offers fantastic optical performance and a large aperture. The lens element produced to date is the largest XA lens element, which aids in achieving excellent sharpness from edge to edge despite best aperture. The F2.8 maximum aperture and 122° angle of view of the lens make it a surprising compact lens. It features a water-repellent fluorine coating on its front element that makes it water and oil-resistant.

EISA Multimedia Smartphone Xperia 1 III
Alpha series cameras, known for their powerful autofocus system, were assisted in the development of the Xperia 1 III with the help of Sony engineers. With the Xperia 1 III, you can control continuous autofocus across all lenses and Real-time Eye AF. In addition, the phone has a Variable Telephoto lens equipped with a Dual-PD Sensor, which offers 120Hz refresh rates and 4K HDR.

For photographers seeking picture perfect results, the Xperia 1 III is more sophisticated than ever. The Sony Xperia 1 III is equipped with Real-Time Tracking, which allows users to focus on even the most challenging moving subjects in real time. The Real-time Tracking technology uses AI-based algorithms along with the 3D iToF sensor to track a subject, allowing it to detect, track, and focus even if it briefly moves out of sight.

A variable telephoto lens and a dual PD sensor, allowing it to reach a focal length of up to 105mm – together with fast autofocus, makes this the world’s first smartphone with a variable telephoto lens. The focus is instantly adjusted as the lens switches between 70mm and 105mm to capture beautiful details in an instant. A 16mm and 24mm focal length is also available for greater creative flexibility with the Xperia 1 III.

EISA Home Theatre Projector: VPL-VW590ES
Featuring 1,800 lumens of native 4K lamp projection output, the VPL-VW590ES projector delivers the sharp, low-light clarity and superior colour accuracy expected from a high end home cinema projector.

It offers HDR viewing with a clear picture through the “X1TM for projector” processor, a Sony TV technology optimized for projector image performance. With the Dynamic HDR Enhancer that comes with the “X1TM for projector”, you can experience 4K HDR content the way its creator intended. The dynamic tone mapping improves 4K HDR image quality.
