VPL-PHZ60 (6,000lm), combines image quality with flexibility and reliability.

Sony Electronics has launched two new laser projectors, the VPL-PHZ60 (6,000 lumens) and VPL-PHZ50 (5,000 lumens), that provide both quality and flexibility. The two small models, measuring less than four inches in height and weighing approximately 15 pounds, are suitable for a range of corporate, educational and entertainment needs.


Due to its weight and size, the VPL-PHZ60 is the industry’s smallest1 WUXGA 3LCD laser projector in its lumen class. With a wide lens shift capability and intelligent setting mode, those projectors are meant for use in small to medium-sized conference rooms and classrooms or entertainment uses, including golf simulators.


The VPL-PHZ60 and VPL-PHZ50 were designed to be flexible and easy to use. They are very small and lightweight, which makes them easy to adapt to different mounting and installation challenges and to blend in to different usage environments. Featuring a vertical and horizontal lens shift range of up to 55% to enable ceiling mounting, 4K 30 frame per second support, and a wide throw range, the projectors are an ideal choice for most application requirements.

Sony’s unique picture engine allows for the new “Bright View” feature which provides vivid projected images with high visibility even in bright environments, while keeping the RGB balance intact and minimizing color variation. Pixel-by-pixel, it detects the video signal and dynamically optimizing its contrast, thecolor reproduction is improved while preserved its footage details.


It is developed to deliver crisp and bright images even in well-lit environments, which makes it a great tool for making presentations.
The VPL-PHZ60 and VPL-PHZ50 enable users to select the projection mode that works the best in their room, according to its room setup and desired usage.

Installation location presets automatically adjust image quality, light source output level, and cooling system, in addition to the Advanced Intelligent Setting function, which automatically selects the best set of features and operation settings based on the projector’s location.

The VPL-PHZ60 and VPL-PHZ50 were designed to be bright, dependable and flexible for our customers in a compact form factor. Users are better able to choose the projector that best suits their needs now that they have access to these new models. The VPL-PHZ60 and VPL-PHZ50 should be available in December of 2020.
