Samsung is trying to lure iPhone users to the brand by introducing the Try Galaxy app. This is a “try before you buy” approach that will allow users to experience what it would be like to live with a phone running One UI 5.1.1.

Besides the general functionality, you are also able to dabble with features meant for foldables like the latest Z Flip5 and Z Fold5. It’s meant to highlight the benefits like the ability of being able to use two connected phones to simulate what it would be like to own the Z Fold5.

The Try Galaxy app can be downloaded by scanning the QR code. Once it’s installed, the app will provide helpful tutorials to ensure you make the most use of the available apps and widgets on a Galaxy phone’s home screen.

FlexCam is a feature that allows the Galaxy Z Flip series to offer unique functionality. It allows you to shoot videos while holding the phone like a camcorder. The top section of the screen turns into a viewfinder. Allowing you to record while ensuring that your subject remains in focus.

Besides this, keeping the phone “semi-unfolded” at various angles unlocks more creative ways of using both sections of its screen. For example, you can keep the phone perched upright by folding it halfway, which is useful when taking video calls while you’re on the move.

In addition to apps and features, users are also exposed to the entire Galaxy connected ecosystem. Examples of this include Quick Share for sharing files/multimedia with nearby devices as well as Samsung Health’s fitness data that’s fed to it via a Galaxy Watch.

Samsung says that the Try Galaxy app has already been downloaded 7 million times since its launch in 2022. It supports 20 languages that include Korean, Czech, Hungarian, Latin American Spanish and Russian.
