Apple Event Scheduled For Sept. 15

Apple will be having a special online session on September 15th, 2020. Many are expecting this event to play host to the reveal of the upcoming iPhone 12 phones. However, certain rumors suggest the contrary to be true. Cupertino may hold off on announcing new hardware for several weeks.

During Apple’s earnings call in July, it was revealed that the launch of the new phones would be delayed a few weeks. Many assumed that this was a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the effect it has had on the global supply chain. However, it could also signal that Apple just needs a little more time to get things in order.

Recent rumors also suggest that Apple could deviate from its usual stance, and reveal more than 3 iPhones. Since the iPhone X, Cupertino has released three phones annually, that cater to different needs. That might change soon, as Apple could be eyeing a bigger piece of the pie.
