Car Rental Provider Chooses IBM Cloud

The online car rental company, Booking Group, announced that it has collaborated with IBM Cloud to accelerate its transformation. Businesses throughout the world are seeking a hybrid multicloud model and ways to protect their data as soon as possible as they navigate digital transformation.

While allowing Booking Group to address their changing business environment, IBM Cloud may be able to deliver greater flexibility and efficiency across their entire business process portfolio. For the past 12 years, Booking Group has been the leader in the online car rental market and offers its services in 150 countries worldwide.

In order to better accommodate the fluctuating demand for car rental services in local markets, adjust prices and availability as needed, the company has sought to move critical workloads such as reservations booking and financial reports to IBM Cloud. Booking Group is now able to securely deploy workloads and manage their public cloud infrastructure thanks to IBM.

IBM Cloud was an exciting option for us since we wanted to make the most of a larger technical pool and use open source software and technologies on the tasks we were facing. Booking Group Co-Founder and Chairman Igor Demchakov says it was crucial to maintain a seamless ability to move workloads to a new cloud provider without difficulty.
