How does It Work?
With simultaneous WiFi and Bluetooth connections, Roam makes listening seamless, anywhere. Don’t worry about streaming only through WiFi, it automatically switches to Bluetooth and re-pairs with your mobile device when you leave home. The new feature Sound Swap makes it easy to move music from room to room with a simple press and hold of the play/pause button.

Streaming with Bluetooth is also enabled with seamless connectivity for your entire system, allowing you to place any of your Sonos speakers into a group to Roam when acting as a speaker when wirelessly connected. Roam is compatible with over 100 streaming services, including Sonos Radio, and is easily controlled with the Sonos app, the Google Assistant, Alexa, Apple AirPlay 2, or directly from the app of your preferred music service.

The company says that Roam was created to deliver a great audio experience no matter where you are in the world. With a carefully designed acoustic architecture, Roam delivers rich, detailed sound you’d expect from a larger speaker, including clarity, depth, and fullness. Automatic Trueplay now lets you stream music wirelessly, so you can always enjoy the best sound quality in any environment.

Roam is available in shadow black or lunar white, and its tactile triangular shape and soft profile provide a comfortable feel. certified with a IP67 rating, Roam combines elegance and durability. The Roam’s battery can last for up to 10 days of continuous playback. It can be charged with a custom magnetic wireless charger from Sonos, any Qi wireless charger, or a USB-C cable included in the box.

It’s compact size makes it easy to carry anywhere, including your bag or in any corner of your home. Users can rotate Roam so they have a smaller footprint or place it horizontally to maintain stability on uneven surfaces outdoors. Even the packaging is environmentally friendly, made from 100% sustainably-grown paper with a minimal amount of ink and includes no single-use plastic.
