Cupertino has announced its first Apple Store in Hunan province, Apple Changsha. The store is easily accessible from anywhere in central China thanks to its location in the provincial capital.

“We are excited about opening in Changsha, a city like no other filled with creative energy and rich cultural heritage”, according to Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People. Our team members in Hunan province are ready to welcome and support the Apple Changsha neighborhood, and they already call the province home.”

One of the top urban attractions in Changsha is Huangxing Road, a busy shopping mall adjacent to the new store. A unique double-height façade greets visitors upon entering the store, and it features updated gradient frit and mirrored finishes that blur the transition between top and bottom and change appearances throughout the day.

Upon entering the mall, customers will immediately notice the freestanding video wall where Today at Apple sessions are located. A free daily session led by Apple Creative Pros helps customers learn practical skills, inspire creativity, and make the most of their Apple products.

Starting September 5, Creative Pros will host the exclusive Today at Apple session “Art Walk: Discover the Colors of Changsha” to celebrate the grand opening, giving customers a chance to explore Changsha and capture its vibrant colors with iPad Pro.

Registration for the session is open at apple.com.cn/today/event/art-walk-discover-the-colors-of-changsha.

Aside from the Forum, customers will find display tables and outdoor areas where they can explore curated Apple products and accessories. Throughout the store, Apple Specialists can help customers with buying advice and explain monthly financing options, Apple trade-in program, and Apple Pickup.

The new store employs over 100 retail staff members who speak a wide variety of languages including Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, and French.
