Digitizing our daily tasks hasn’t been as important as it is today. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, many have us have been forced stay at home, and accomplish our activities from there. The experience is unfamiliar, uncomfortable and inconvenient.

Adjusting to this lifestyle is a daunting task for many, and that’s where consultants like Sarah Kimmel come in. She helps families adapt to the changing times, allowing them to embrace the digital age in a meaningful way.

Kimmel is adept at her trade, especially when it comes to ‘work from home set-ups’. The mother of two, has been in the IT industry for 16 years and currently runs a blog focused on families and technology. She also conducts talks at conferences and events.

This gives her a unique understanding of the difficulties faced by families wanting more structure in their daily routines. Kimmel usually recommends digitizing appointments and setting up multiple calendars for each child. Microsoft To-Do and Outlook are her usual ‘go-to’ tools.

One of the biggest issues they face is handling parental controls. Striking the right balance between allowing freedom to explore the latest tech and limiting the duration they are allowed to do so, can be tricky.
